How vial duration is calculated
PeptideGrid uses the vial amount, amount per administration, vial count, and existing schedule you enter. Compatible mass units are converted before the arithmetic. Only complete administrations count. The calculator does not determine the amount you should take.

- Every medically meaningful value comes from you. PeptideGrid does not choose dose, frequency, expiration, or product suitability.

The calculator converts the vial amount and the amount per administration into compatible mass units, then counts only the whole administrations supported by each vial. Remainder stays with that vial and is not combined with another vial.
Full entries per vial = vial amount ÷ amount per administration, rounded down.
Full entries on hand = entries per vial × vials on hand
A weekly frequency is not a calendar.
“3 times per week” describes average frequency, but not which calendar days are used. The duration can be estimated; exact future dates cannot.
Exact coverage requires an every-N-days schedule or selected weekdays, plus a projection start date.
Why projected and actual supply can differ
Actual records can differ when an event is moved, skipped, corrected, or Recorded differently. Scheduled is not the same as Recorded. A difference is a separate fact, not a judgment.
Supply quantity is not product suitability.
This tool does not determine sterility, stability, expiration, authenticity, contamination, or whether a vial should be used. An entered use-by date is only compared with the mathematical projection.

How many doses are in a vial?
For this calculator, the number of full administrations is the vial amount divided by the amount per administration you entered, rounded down to whole administrations. The calculator uses your amount; it does not determine what that amount should be.
How long will my vial last?
Duration depends on the number of full administrations the vial mathematically supports and the schedule you enter. Exact calendar dates require exact schedule placement and a projection start date.
How are multiple vials calculated?
Each vial is calculated separately. PeptideGrid does not automatically combine theoretical remainders from different vials.
Does adding diluent change the total mass in the vial?
Adding diluent changes concentration and total liquid volume, but not the total mass value entered for the vial. For concentration, draw volume, or syringe markings, use PeptideGrid's reconstitution calculator.
Does this calculator determine expiration?
No. It calculates mathematical quantity coverage only. If you enter a use-by or in-use date that you already received from another source, the calculator can compare that date with the supply projection, but PeptideGrid does not determine the date.
Can it tell me when I should reorder?
PeptideGrid does not recommend a reorder date. If you enter your own planning buffer and an exact calendar schedule is available, the calculator can show the planning point created by the buffer you selected.
What happens if my schedule changes?
The original projection may stop matching actual inventory. PeptideGrid's ongoing tracker keeps Scheduled items separate from what you actually Record so the history reflects what happened rather than silently rewriting the plan.
