A small randomized comparative study in people with anxiety-related diagnoses reported symptom changes after intranasal Selank. Limited reporting, an active comparator, uncertain blinding, narrow populations, and little independent replication prevent firm conclusions.
Replication in well-reported trials, the relevance of non-U.S. diagnostic and treatment contexts, chemical-form identity, human pharmacology, and long-term safety remain unresolved.
Mouse studies report behavioral effects in anxiety and memory models. These findings cannot establish clinical effectiveness or human safety.[3]
